I have a queen and king.

Well, what the heck do we do? I keep my kids off this site and won't feature them unless they allow it.

Chess teaches me you protect the king and queen at all costs. Which I do.

I do have a boy and girl, both currently elementary school age. An actual observation from watching them from afar—not stalker-like, just an unwelcomed engaged parent type.

My daughter is for sure the queen; she moves erratically to get what she wants.

My son is the king, stoic beyond a doubt and unwilling to move unless necessary.

So here I stand as the knight, wondering what the hell to do.

My daughter got a pretty good conga line going and bailed. She did not like the people she did not know touching her.

How do you respond to that without a private dance party?

Again, a rhetorical question.

"Sorry I am late. I did not want to come" would be the byline. I have not set up comments yet; you so this is a rhetorical question. What event is designed so that no one leaves happier a week later
